this is a Scotch Egg.
while i am glad to have tried it. i would say that this particular one was not amazingly good.
basically what's going on here for those of you who don't know: hard boiled egg, inside a "sausage"....layer, then breaded. eaten at whatever temp. you please.
this meat was to sausage as the current state of the irish political system is to a government.
trying at best.

counter of cured meat goodness at the Old English Market in Cork City
olives, hummus, pickled things
i had zero room to carry anything else, and i still had a hard time not spending money here.

this was during lunch at a pub while in N. Ireland with the whole group.
it was a great.

Yaaaayyyy!
Food from Kilkenny!
Kilkenny was amazing, as seen in the blog post, and so was a bunch of the food and beer we had!

My first ever Irish Breakfast in Ireland.
The Rashers(bacon) were ridiculously good, and i even ate the "pudding"(the 3 lumps between the chips and the rashers)
Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum!

Tea in Kilkenny Castle!

This was an amazing breakfast sandwich from "Blah blah blah sandwiches", no really, that's what it was called.
It consisted of sausages, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, butter, and chili jam.
It was like eating a sandwich full of sausages, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, butter, and chili jam.
And it was really good.

Hannah and i went to Waterford, and had some great treats along the way!

Cornish pasties!
This is like my new favorite thing to eat.
It was sooo good!
It's full of beef, potato, turnip and onion. Then wrapped in pastry dough.
Unbelievable.

In waterford we found a part of town that had a sort of market/food vendor street thingy going on.
I got this container of assorted olives, sun dried tomatoes, and fresh feta.
Delicious!

These were amazing cupcakes from the same street.
Mine (the one on the right), is Bailey's Irish Cream, and Hannah's was vanilla with chocolate shavings.
Yet again.
Totally great!

So last night, (the 16th), Patrick and i, and later a bunch of other people, went and got Dublin's most famous fish and chips from Leo Burdocks.
I got Cod and Chips, with salt and vinegar, with a side of garlic tarter sauce. The traditional.
It was amazing!

So for dinner tonight (the 13th) the school took us out for dinner as part of orientation to a really cool restaurant called The Church. It's an old church that's been converted into a restaurant/bar, complete with a hugh organ that i guess Handel once played at.
Anyways, i had Beef and Guinness Stew for dinner. I don't eat non-ground beef very often, but this was pretty good, and it's the first thing that warrants making it on this page.  Very Irish.

Sometime in November:
Ok,
This is a page to share all the amazing food i'm going to try with everyone!!!
My friend Lexi just told me to try potato waffles while i'm in Ireland. Soooooooooo excited!
Please leave me comments with more suggestions!

More to come
